NASCO, a third party provider of benefits administration services to health plans, experienced a data security incident on May 30, 2023, in which a threat actor(s) accessed data. Upon discovering the incident, NASCO quickly contained the threat, secured its environment, notified law enforcement authorities and launched an investigation finding that some of the acquired files contained the personal information of health plan members. Impacted health plan members will receive a letter providing next steps for utilizing Experian’s free credit monitoring and identity theft protection we are offering to all health plan members who may have been impacted by the security incident.
