eBusinessNASCO’s eBusiness capabilities help our Plan customers retain existing accounts and win new business by providing flexible, customer-friendly access to personal health benefits information in a Web-based environment. An online self-service resource for BlueCross and BlueShield national account members, Health Care Benefits Online® (HCBO), at www.hcbo.com, offers completely secure, password protected access to member healthcare information. This includes claims, deductibles, eligibility, provider directories, replacement ID cards, health and wellness links, benefits information, coordination of benefits (COB), explanation of benefits (EOB), and customer service. HCBO also offers Plans the option to allow their accounts to access an Employer Portal, providing capabilities similar to those on the member side, including adding and updating contract information. By providing employer and member Web access to healthcare benefits information contained within the NASCO Processing System (NPS), employees have more control, inspiring a higher degree of satisfaction about their healthcare benefits. For Plan accounts, HCBO is an investment in superior service NASCO eBusiness isn’t just about the Web. Our strategy also includes improving capabilities to transmit data between the NPS and local Plans’ eBusiness platforms via InterActSM messaging. InterAct allows Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems and provider portals to communicate with the NPS. NASCO has implemented a wide variety of InterAct messages allowing Plans to obtain membership, claims, worksheets, deductibles, maximums, Coordination of Benefits (COB), and Consumer-Directed Healthcare (CDH) data from the system.
