Business effectiveness Consulting, Implementation Services, Training Classes, and Benefit Coding are among the value-added tools that NASCO offers to customer Plans, helping them deliver operational excellence to their accounts.

 

Consulting

In response to market research and recommendations from The Consortium Health Plans, NASCO formed its Business Effectiveness Consulting team in 1999. This team works with Plans to determine methods by which they can make business processes more efficient, through a combination of effective business practices and unique shared system capabilities.

 

NASCO uses a collaborative engagement process, sharing accountability throughout. By combining industry-accepted methodologies for performance improvement with an understanding of customer business practices and a detailed knowledge of the NASCO processing system, our consultants are positioned to guide customers to higher levels of performance. Plans utilizing NASCO consulting services can expect to achieve:

Implementation Services

Through our implementation and Plan project support services, NASCO works interactively with Plans to:

  • Implement new business

  • Implement Plan accounts

  • Assist with Plan work groups

Training Classes

NASCO provides educational programs to help Plan users achieve mastery on the NASCO Processing System (NPS). With our training, users are able to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to reach each Plan’s business goals, such as decreasing aged inventories or reducing suspense rates. 

 

NASCO’s training curriculum covers all critical applications in membership, claims processing, eServicing, customer service, financial, along with corresponding supporting files and tables. Through our performance consulting process, we identify Plans' performance needs and customize a solution to meet them. NASCO’s instructor-led programs are delivered at our Learning Center in Atlanta or on site at your Plan.

 

NASCO provides the following types of training services and deliverables:

  • Role-based classes

  • Customized on-site deliveries

  • Train-the-Trainer (T3) sessions

Benefit Coding

We maintain all NASCO tables for Plan customers and provide Plan-specific services and maintenance as well.

 

Working with Plans, NASCO completes an annual average of 4,000 table changes requests. The company provides benefit coding, group master, and related file maintenance for approximately 30 new accounts each year. We also provide annual benefit changes, daily maintenance to the benefit file and the group master file, and benefit file training.
