Tim Waage, Vice President of the
Michigan Local Account, is charged with successfully
guiding BlueCross BlueShield of Michigan's local
business migration to the NASCO system. In addition
to overseeing the technical details, Tim ensures
that Michigan associates are properly trained in
effectively using the system, keep affected parties
informed of the initiative's impacts and progress,
and maintain a high level of satisfaction with the
Plan's leadership team.
His mission is to ensure that NASCO
skillfully manages the migration, meeting on-time,
on-budget obligations. In further nurturing the
NASCO/Michigan relationship through this strategic
partnership, Tim is focused on helping the Plan grow
their existing business and enter new markets.
Tim has a wealth of knowledge about
the Michigan Plan in addition to the NASCO total
solution. Prior to his NASCO tenure, he spent 10
years at the Plan as part of the on-site EDS team,
first working on the predecessor to the NASCO
System, the General Motors Claims System (GMCS), and
then supporting Michigan as a Control Plan on the
NASCO system. He was also successful in other roles
such as Account Executive.
After relocating from Minnesota
where he supported other EDS accounts, Tim now
resides in the Detroit area with his family.
